Last January, Mireille shared a set photo from a The Killing mini-reunion project with creator, Veena Sud. It is now scheduled to screen at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival. The working title was Between the Earth and Sky but it is now officially entitled The Lie. Sadly, still no further details have been released, but it’s a start!
HOLLYWOOD REPORTER – TIFF also Tuesday said it will close Sept. 16 with a first look at Jeremiah Terminator LeRoy, the Kristen Stewart and Laura Dern-starrer from director Justin Kelly. The fest also has booked red-carpet screenings of Peter Farrelly’s Green Book, which stars Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali; and The Lie, a drama from The Killing creator Veena Sud and toplined by former Killing star Mireille Enos and Peter Sarsgaard.
Mireille recently shared a photo on the set of then-untitled project from Veena Sud, the creator of The Killing. Now, per Deadline, the project’s current working title is Between the Earth and Sky. No further details have been announced. We’re looking forward to the fruition of this mini-reunion!
Blumhouse is in production in Toronto on the family drama Between the Earth and Sky, written and directed by The Killing creator Veena Sud.
The pic reunites Sud with former Killing stars Mireille Enos and Peter Sarsgaard, who star in the movie with Joey King. The logline is being kept under wraps, with Between the Earth and Sky the working title. Jason Blum and Alix Madigan are producing.

Mireille stopped by The Hollywood Reporter offices for an interview to discuss her latest film, Never Here. She also recalls what it was like working with the late actor, Sam Shepard.

The film arrives in theaters on October 20th.
Installation artist Miranda Fall follows, photographs and documents the lives of strangers to create her art. One night her secret lover witnesses a violent act from Miranda’s apartment window. To protect his identity, Miranda poses as the primary witness, making statements to the police about a crime she did not see. She begins to create a new piece of work, based on these circumstances. This simultaneously selfish and selfless act sends Miranda into a maze of doubt and fear, blurring the lines between artist and subject.

Directed by documentary filmmaker Camille Thoman, making her feature debut, Never Here follows an installation artist, Miranda (The Killing‘s Mireille Enos), whose latest photography project involves documenting the lives of strangers. Simultaneously carrying on a secret love affair, her beau witnesses a violent act while peering out her apartment window, prompting Miranda to pose as the primary witness in order to protect his identity, feeding false information to police based on events she didn’t witness.
