Check out the gripping trailer of Never Here, previously entitled You Were Never Here. It is also the final film of the late actor, Sam Shepard. The film will be out in theaters on October 20th.

Directed by documentary filmmaker Camille Thoman, making her feature debut, Never Here follows an installation artist, Miranda (The Killing‘s Mireille Enos), whose latest photography project involves documenting the lives of strangers. Simultaneously carrying on a secret love affair, her beau witnesses a violent act while peering out her apartment window, prompting Miranda to pose as the primary witness in order to protect his identity, feeding false information to police based on events she didn’t witness.
